The user of this page and www.homematch.pt accept without reservation that any dispute or litigation arising from the use of this website will be governed by Portuguese law, with the jurisdiction of the district of Lisbon, Portugal, being agreed as competent, with express waiver of any other.

Using our booking system

I. Scope of application

The terms and conditions contained in this document apply to the relationship between the potential guest, hereinafter referred to as the Client, and Home Match, from the moment of the reservation request until the end of the stay period.

In situations not provided for in the Terms and Conditions, applicable legislation will apply.

II. Reservation Policy

Initial contact for booking can be made by phone, email, through our website, and through the booking engines Booking.com, Airbnb.com, Vrbo.com or any platform that is integrated with any of the options mentioned above. Reservations by phone or email are subject to availability.

After the booking request, if accommodations are available, Home Match provides a booking transaction code.

Home Match only guarantees the Client the provision of accommodation of the type reserved.

III. Arrival and Departure

Home Match provides accommodation in the reserved category from 4pm or 5pm on the expected arrival date.

At check-in, the guest must identify themselves and provide their identification document (identity card/passport), or by filling out the form that is sent to them by message through any existing platform for this purpose. The link is created by the Hostkit platform, and the data is processed by the same.

On the date of departure, the Client must leave the accommodation free of people and property and without any damage by 11 am.

Check-in and check-out may take place outside the defined hours, provided that availability is checked with Home Match employees.

If the accommodation is not vacated by 11 am on the day of departure, without any justification or prior consent from Home Match, compensation corresponding to the price of one night will be charged immediately, and the Customer will only be entitled to use the accommodation during this period if it is available. Otherwise, the Customer will have to pay the compensation and leave the room as soon as possible.

Home Match does not have a 24-hour reception service. We ask that guests inform us of their arrival time.

At check-in, you may be given a physical or digital key or an access code to the accommodation. If you lose one of the keys or leave it inside the accommodation, you must contact one of the Home Match employees and report the incident immediately. The cost of the key, door opening service or lock change will be charged to the guest. The keys must be returned at check-out.

IV. Terms of use

Only the people indicated in the accommodation reservation will be entitled to use the accommodation. Temporary visits to our guests are only permitted with the prior consent of Home Match management.

The Client and companion(s), if applicable, must use the accommodation in appropriate conditions, with care and consideration.

The Client and the companion(s), if applicable, must treat other guests with consideration and respect the Regulations made available in each accommodation.

Depending on the type of accommodation and its amenities, Home Match can provide its guests with a shared kitchen, living room and patio.

Common areas and equipment available to guests must be used in appropriate conditions and left clean and in good condition.

All damages, breakdowns and thefts associated with the Customer will be charged, taking into account the value of the damages in question.

Children under 14 years of age must be supervised by an adult guest at all times during their stay at any accommodation managed by Home Match.

Home Match will not be held responsible for any personal belongings that may disappear within any accommodation or its facilities.

The Client must always close the access doors to the building, if applicable, the accommodation door and ensure that they are properly closed.

In case of emergency, the Customer must call the contacts provided in the accommodation regulations for this purpose.

V. Parking

Home Match does not have private parking. However, there is public parking in the vicinity of each accommodation, which may be managed by the municipal services of each area where the accommodation is located.

VI. Animals

It is expressly forbidden to accommodate animals at Home Match, except for exceptions that are mentioned in the accommodation advertisement, or for health reasons.

Pets are allowed for an extra fee of 50 euros, plus a deposit of 100 euros. This deposit amount may be returned after the apartment has been inspected by a member of the Home Match team, if the accommodation is found to be in the same condition upon the guest's arrival.
The introduction of animals into the accommodation by the guest without prior authorization allows Home Match to inform the Customer of the obligation to leave without being refunded the amounts paid in the meantime for the provision of the accommodation during the contracted period of stay.

VII. Noise

Out of respect and understanding for all guests, we ask that you pay special attention to silence in social areas, stairways and corridors.

Between 11pm and 7am, activities that cause noise that could disturb other guests are not permitted, in accordance with the General Noise Regulations.

VIII. Access to accommodation through Home Match

The Home Match team will have the right to enter the accommodation, during the Client's stay, in order to carry out cleaning, repairs and similar work.

IX. Price of accommodation and others

The price of the stay to be paid by the Customer constitutes the consideration for the use of the accommodation for lodging, in the period between arrival and departure.

The total price of the stay will be charged per night, regardless of whether the Customer actually used the accommodation.
The applicable rates will be the agreed prices or the prices set out in the Home Match price list in force on the date of the reservation request. Home Match shall have the right to update the prices, informing the Customer in due time.

The rates and amounts indicated for the stay are all inclusive of VAT at the legal rate in force, unless expressly stated otherwise.

Home Match provides information and ongoing promotions on its website.

Offers and promotions are temporary and subject to specific conditions set out.

Specific payment conditions may apply to travel agencies, tour operators and other entities.

X. Payment terms

Payment for the amount of the stay and extra services (crib, extra bed) must be made at check-in.

Home Match accepts payments in cash at its office, ATM, PayPal or by bank transfer.

We accept debit and credit cards.

Checks are not accepted.

Specific payment conditions may apply to travel agencies, tour operators and other entities.

XI. Complaints

There is a complaints book at reception.
Any complaints or suggestions should be forwarded to management.
If it is found that there is indeed a defect in the Customer's accommodation, Home Match has the right to opt for repair and relocate the guest to accommodation of the same category contracted with the guest. Only defects that are likely to compromise the level of service and quality of Home Match will be considered.

XII. Home Match Responsibility

Home Match will be responsible for ensuring adequate hygiene, cleanliness and safety conditions for the accommodation.

Home Match will not be held responsible for any personal belongings that may disappear within any accommodation or its facilities.

Home Match assumes no responsibility for the loss of data provided by the Customer in the event of electronic transmission of payment data, and is only responsible in the event of negligent action.

Home Match shall not be liable to the Customer in the event of a delay in making the accommodation available if there is a force majeure event. Force majeure events shall be considered to be those that make it impossible or more difficult to make the accommodation available, such as strikes, blockades, natural disasters, accidents at the accommodation itself, in the electronic management services of the accommodation or in the accommodation itself.

XIII. Duty to notify

In the event of theft, property damage, fire, flooding or other damage to the accommodation, the Customer must immediately inform the Home Match team and do everything possible to help resolve the situation in question.

XIV. End of stay

Home Match has the right to terminate the stay if the Client does not pay the amount due, as well as if the Client displays any behavior that affects good coexistence, peace or hygiene.

The Customer may request the end of their stay at any time up until 6:30 pm, to take effect from 11:00 am the following day.

XVI. General provisions

The Terms and Conditions regulate the Customer's stay at Home Match and their use of the accommodation.

The invalidity of one or more of the preceding provisions shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The invalid provision shall be replaced by the valid provision which most closely matches the commercial and legal intentions of the parties or where this is not possible under current Portuguese law.
